Workshops - ENLS 7th January 2019 & ACE - 7th & 8th January 2019

Chairman’s Message:

Dear Friends, It is a privilege for me to announce the dates of the fourth ‘Guidelines Conference’ on the 5th & 6th January 2019 to be held at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Centre, Pune. We conduct the Guidelines Conference every alternate year as guidelines are not updated every year. This conference is focused on the latest and the best existing evidence based guidelines in critical care and emergency medicine.

Many of us attend various conferences for different reasons very few conferences actually give us a clear take home message to change the way we practice. Some of us being very busy practitioners may not get adequate time to be updated with the recent literature on the subject. Guidelines Conference is an attempt to give you summarized version of the recent updates on the topic and also a standard protocol for managing the given condition. This conference will be very useful for the trainees in emergency medicine and critical care. Consultants will also benefit because of the update on each topic and definite take home message which will change the way we practice.

We have made an attempt to invite stalwarts from various countries, who are originally from India and have now achieved very high positions & success in the country where they live. They would like to share their experience, knowledge and expertise. Since they are originally from India, they would like to give back something to their own motherland.

As a part of the post conference workshop, we plan to conduct the internationally acclaimed ENLS course on 7th January 2019. All the Instructors for this course are the faculty, who originally designed the ENLS course.

The second post conference workshop will be the Anesthesia Critical Care Emergency Medicine – ACE Simulation Course. The first ACE Simulation course we conducted received an overwhelming response from the post graduates trainees in Anesthesia, Critical care & Emergency Medicine.

The Guidelines 2019 Conference is being conducted in Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and the registration fee is being subsidized so that more doctors can attend the conference.

The climate in Pune in the month of January is just right and there are lots of places for site seeing although most of you would not want to miss a single lecture on Guidelines. The seating capacity of our auditorium is 330. Hence we will be closing the registration after 300, hence hurry and register early. The next ‘Guidelines’ will be in 2021. Hope to see you at Pune!

Delegates feedback

Thank you so much to all the organising members for such a wonderful conference.Really worth it to attend that and the best part was it was very student oriented so that at the end of the day we are learning what to do and more important what not to do .To start every lecture with a case scenario was very practical. Being FNB exam going, really helpful for me Thanks again to all the members
